I try to get brands that are widely used and not ones that look shady. But I prefer to go for things that are natural.

With make-up I usually stick with a brand that I know and am used to instead of risking an allergic reaction. With hair shampoos and conditioners, I like the nice smelling ones or just try out whatever strikes my fancy on the day. You will never know which is the right one until you've tried it.

It's a bit difficult choosing Ayiza, like said with face products you try it once and if it works for you then you stick to it but have to agree with Commodore with regard to hair products i always go for shampoos that smells good.

I have really problematic skin... although everytime I see a dermatologist ..shes always saying "I dont see the problem". :-) But...I have recently started using Biotherm ..which seems to be doing the trick. My skin is glowing and looking healthy. I choose a product that will help with my oily t-panel and keep it moisterized at the same time.

My hair. thankfully from a very little girl my hair was in great condition. My gran took good care of me (and my hair :-) "oiling" our hair is common amongst indians. and its a great natural treatment. I only remember using heat (blow-drying, ironing etc) twice in my life. otherwise...my hair is completely "natural". I try to choose hair products with little or no strong chemicals etc.

Well you can sample them out first. Find a site that links you to companies that give out free samples ( like http://www.sampleaday.com ). Then wait till you get them in the mail, if you like the samples you buy the product, if you don't, you dont have to
