Modeling pictures?

So I want to become a model (commercial because I'm not tall enough to be high fashion/editorial) but the problem is that I live in Missouri which is basically the middle of nowhere! There aren't any modeling agencies here, so I want to try to send pictures to a magazine to see if I can get hired to appear in it. It is a commercial magazine, aka a catalog. What the should I look like in the pictures? Hair, make-up, wardrobe?

You should send in 3 pictures, one of you standing straight, another of your face close up and a third one of your profile (side view).

Pull your hair back so that they can get a close look at your face and wear minimal make-up. Perhaps just mascara and a slick of lipgloss.

Wear an outfit that you think is fashionable, so that they can see you have a good sense of style.

Don't look like you're trying too hard, don't wear too much make-up (a little concealer, blush, no sparkles) Wear your hair down, if possible. (NATURAL) You want to look like you don't have to try to look hot. Good luck!

Anyway, as for your pictures, here a three main rules: 1. No big hair, 2. No heavy makeup (try to look as natural as possible), 3. Wear simple clothes that won't distract the eye in the photographs.

try not to wear any make up. they want to see your true natural beauty! wear your hear down in one pic. and in a ponytail or something away from your face so they can see your jawline. also elongate your neck so they can see everything. they said its best to practice in the mirror and look like a turtle alittle. its gonna feel weird at first but thats what they want because they want to see the dimensions of everything and tell the difference between the shadow under your chin and your neck. good luck!
