How do I tell my parents that I'm a girl? They haven't seen me since summer and ALOT has h

I was born a boy but was never happy - my friends were all girls and we liked the same movies, tv shows, magazines, etc. I loved playing w/makeup and hair - and going shopping w/my girlfriends. A few months, my college roommates convinced me to let them dress me up as a girl! Well, I loved it - it's been awesome! What started as an evening out has become practically full-time. I've gone from borrowing their clothes (and make-up) to having all of my own. (And a really cute hairstyle). My friends have been great and even their boyfriends have been very nice. (One new one doesn't even "know"). I'm thisclose to starting to date (but that's another story). This has made me become such an optimist. People that I worried about interacting w/ - like beauticians, clothes saleswomen- have been great - many have become friends. I even got a job baby sitting one's daughter. But now its time to go home - I don't think I could even fake it - let alone explain my hair, pierced ears, shaved legs, .

How do I tell my parents that I'm a girl? They haven't seen me since summer and ALOT has happened!?

Just tell your parents and they should at least try to be supporting. I don't know what kind of people your parents are, but if they really love they would be coming up to you with welcome arms...And if they aren't then it is going to take your parents some time for them to adjust to the idea of your transition. If I had a son or daughter who wanted to be the opposite sex, I would love them no matter what, because life is too short to be full of hate.... I am crossing my fingers for you...

Don't fake it, just do it. Maybe your mom always wanted a little girl.

i'm sure they'll be supportive. just be confident and dont try to hide yourself. be who you want to be. maybe when you walk in you could say something like mom i know alot has changed but can we talk and explain the situation. i'm so glad you have friends who support you!
