How can I make money from the idea?
The business in question is already set up to use the idea, this is an extention of what they already do.
It is NOT patentable. If I tell the company they can go ahead and make the money without me.
The idea is for a British company, though it may well be adaptable to other countries.
I am not needed and do not have the skills, experience or qualifications to work in the industry; and do not want to.
Is there a way to get a decent lump sum and royalties from disclosing the very basic idea?
An Example:
An article in a magazine in the 1970's reported on individuals sharing ideas for money. One I recall was a guy who saved a company money by suggesting theyt only have one striking edge on a matchbox instead of two; saving them money on production costs.
Another idea suggested hairgrips be 'crinkled' to stop them slipping from the hair curlers.
In both cases the individuals were handsomely rewarded for their ideas.
How can I make money from an idea to increase the turnover of a business by millions of pounds anually?
You probably won't get a loan if you aren't experienced in the business. But maybe they will. I wish you luck in your venture.
