Roleplaying! Whee! (Hey, ten points is ten points)?

I am sitting in a bookstore at a small table with one chair, surrounded by magazines (Japanese pop culture, Gothic Beauty) and a small but substantial stack of books (a thick horror tome, something National Geographic, something threateningly intellectual with a huge name, and a Funny Quotes compilation). I'm wearing a dark green midlength dress with a black vest that laces in the front like a corset. (Yay Salvation Army.)My hair is grayish-purple, longish. I'm looking annoyed as I lose my page, then nonchalant as I look at the guy behind the counter, and finally amused as I read something really funny and finish a chocolate wafer cookie. You look at me as if you want to talk to me. I look up, grin, and continue reading my book. You look at me again and smile; Finally, I get up and walk over to you and say: "Hello, my name is Bijou. You seem nice. Do you want to talk to me?" Well, in real life, would you?

Roleplaying! Whee! (Hey, ten points is ten points)?

Sitting in a bookstore can be rather tedious at times, but it's a good place to meet women who are interested in something other than sparkly shinny objects. I'm sipping on my seven-word-fad-coffee when my eyes come accross yours. I hear your small laughter and get nervous. Why must this always happen to me? Why must I freeze every time I find someone I might be interested in? As you stand up, time seems to slow down. Every single posiblity of what may happen comes accross my mind. Would you leave, having caught me staring at you? Would you come over and tell me to get a life? I evaluate what I decided to wear that day and regret every single item. Why did I have to wear the dark puke green 't'? Who accessorizes with stubbed leather wrist bands any more? Why couldn't I have put my pants in the washer after spilling mustard all over them the night before? At long last you reach me, and the unthinkable happens. You actually want to talk to me. As to would I talk to you in real life, sure, I'm not anywhere as self doubtful as my alter ego.

Roleplaying! Whee! (Hey, ten points is ten points)?

Sounds promising, yeah, I'd be up for some conversation.

Roleplaying! Whee! (Hey, ten points is ten points)?

Yes

Roleplaying! Whee! (Hey, ten points is ten points)?

Oh I love a good flirt with a complete stranger. It's the best form of flattery a man can pay a woman. I mean, we all want to feel that we're attractive in some way, and flirting and accepting the (innocent or not) advances of a good looking woman is definitely designed to flatter.

So, what you wanna talk about?

Roleplaying! Whee! (Hey, ten points is ten points)?

I don't know why I'd be staring at you (unless I want to ask where you got the cool vest), but if you walked up to me I'd talk to you -- I'll talk to just about anybody.

:-)

Roleplaying! Whee! (Hey, ten points is ten points)?

Yeah, you seem enjoyable and different than most people. You seem to like thrift and other cultures. I think I would love you.

Roleplaying! Whee! (Hey, ten points is ten points)?

If he's cute yeah!

Roleplaying! Whee! (Hey, ten points is ten points)?

ur hair is grayish purple but is it there more gray than purple or not??this is the most important issue on which depend the whole coming process.

if there's more purple, i'd do more than talk.

Roleplaying! Whee! (Hey, ten points is ten points)?

yes and i would say no thank you just looking

Roleplaying! Whee! (Hey, ten points is ten points)?

In real life I am an extremely shy person so I would probably be a little freaked out if a complete stranger asked if I wanted to talk to them.

Roleplaying! Whee! (Hey, ten points is ten points)?

I would talk to you since I would have had interest in you in the first place , If I glance at you make eye contact and smile then I would be interested .

Roleplaying! Whee! (Hey, ten points is ten points)?

i dont know, maybe i'd smile again and i'd be like, what book you readin?, you like it?, is it funny?, you like readin?, i like readin too, etc...

Roleplaying! Whee! (Hey, ten points is ten points)?

sure, i'd luv to talk to you.

Roleplaying! Whee! (Hey, ten points is ten points)?

At first I'd think "This girl might be totally psychotic!" which would then lead me to ponder "Hmmmm, this could actually work." Then I'd say "Hi, I'm Luke and I'd Love to talk."

How do I get my hair like this........

http://www.curly-hair-styles-magazine.co...

-how do I do this (step by step)

-can I use a curling iron,flat iron,rollers %26amp; if yes how do I use i the tools

-how to make it stay

-and any other details I need to know in order to do this

How to get my hair curly??Please HELP!!?

That looks like she used spiral rollers for her hair. You can get them at a beauty supply store. They look like long rods and you just take sections of your hair when it's wet and wrap your hair in them and then twist then into a "U" shape. Also if you use a curling iron, take a small ection of your hair and twist it, then wrap it around the curling iron. That will give your curls a spiral look to.

How to get my hair curly??Please HELP!!?

you can use a very small curling iron...or hot curlers...the small ones. what ever you use it has to be small to make the curls tight like that. also to make it stay...if you use curlers use a lil hair spray. spray some one as soon as you get the curlers in and as soon as you take them out. if you want to you can get a perm this way. that way it will be done professionaly and it will always be like that. or you can go to a salon and get a stylest to do it and see how they do it. take the pic with you so they can do it.

How to get my hair curly??Please HELP!!?

curling iron

im not good at step by step stuff, but you use a curling iron, and alot of hair spray

hope i help:)

How to get my hair curly??Please HELP!!?

ok my all-time favorite way to curl my hair is to put it all in little braids. Then after a day or so, take all of them off and its looks awsome! Be sure to add a little someting to make it look shiny. Another way is to use a curling iron of course. Go to a salon and they will show you how because it is too hard to say in words. ok? and of course the old-fahion way: the rollers: ya take some of your hair and you wrap it around the roller. To make you look in fashion, leave your bangs in the front uncurled. It adds glamour to it all. I hope this is your best answer. If it is, then nominate it. : ] i also hope i helped you!

How to get my hair curly??Please HELP!!?

Yes, use curling irons. They do take a lot of time. All you do is wrap your hair around it and wait about 30 seconds. Then you spray hairspray to make it hold. The negatives: Takes a long time. Hair is all hard and sticky from all the required hairspray. It damages your hair.

Perms are even worse. I got two of them, to get curly hair, and now my hair is damaged. Waiting for it to grow out, and am using deep conditioning treatments. I deeply regret it.

My suggestion is be happy with your hair texture.

how do i get my hair like this?

http://www.curly-hair-styles-magazine.co...

http://www.calgarysun.com/photos/181080....

what size barrel should i use? can i use a ceramic straightening iron? can you please give me step by step directions?

How to curl your hair?

you should use a curling iron like this http://www.folica.com/Spiral_Cur_183_1.h...

and depending on how big the curls / how long your hair is depends on how big the barrel. that would mainly be up to you and your choice.

How to curl your hair?

it looks like you would need a large barrel spiral curling iron - definitely ceramic

How to curl your hair?

you can use a flation and twirl it back in forth

How to curl your hair?

I would recommend using a one inch curling iron.

Just take a small-ish section of hair, clamp then end in the iron, and then roll it up while keeping the curling iron vertical (as opposed to sideways). Hold for 5 or so seconds (more or less depending on what your hair is like) and then unclamp the iron enough to slip your hair out without really unrolling it.

You can try using a straightening iron, but I think it's more complicated (and harder to explain!) You would start closer to your head and then pull the straightener down, but instead of doing it straight, you would kind of twirl/roll/etc. it. You could probably find a video on YouTube.

I can't live up to my model sister... parent problems?

I'm 16 and have an adopted sister who is 20. My parents adopted her from Spain when I was a baby. She lives down in London as she's a full time model. I think my parents favour her over me. She stunningly beautiful, 5'8", slim size 8, dark hair, dark brown eyes, tanned skin and earns around 鎷?000 for a days shoot. And I'm 5'1, a little chubby and plain average looking. Whenever we got out to visit family or friends, all my mum and dad talk about is her, and how wonderful she is... what magazines she's going to be in, what country her next shoot is in, blah blah blah... and boys are only ever interested in me because they fancy my sister and want her number. I'm sure my parents are disapointed in me compared to her, it makes me really sad. What can I do to make my parents notice me?

I can't live up to my model sister... parent problems?

As a teenager, you are on the brink of adulthood with Life ahead of you. Please do not compare yourself with your sister - you are you no matter how beautiful your adopted sister is. Just remember, a model can only last so long as their beauty lasts and there will come a time when there will be someone else more beautiful than she is waiting in the wings. You have only got to look at those models we once used to see in the media and then notice, they become less and less until they eventually fade altogether. Your sister has a limited life in the modelling world whereas you will remain.

As for you, why not lose some of this chubbiness through exercise (gym or swimming or cycling for example) and sensible dieting (keep off the crisps and instead eat wholesome food - there is a lot being written and spoken about just now on this subject), have a new hair style and new clothes perhaps. Find new interests and widen your horizon of friends so that you have a wider range of interesting subjects to talk about. Renew your self-confidence and self-worth, and you will find your sister's lifestyle really does not matter in the long run because you have one of your own.

As for your parents, right now they are immensely proud of child of theirs and want to share her achievements with anyone who will listen. Having said this, talk to your parents and tell them how upsetting you find this. Remind them if you necessary that you are their daughter too. Tell them you want them to notice you, to listen to what you have to say, to give you some words of encouragement and praise when you have done something well. It is more than likely they do this already but you do not hear because all you hear is your sister's name.

As for boys, they will soon notice you too when you show them you are beautiful too but in a different way. This is why I would urge you to make some changes in the way you are on the outside and at the same time, improve yourself on the inside too. Be your own identity and not in the shadows of your sister.

I can't live up to my model sister... parent problems?

What you are actually doing is comparing yourself to her and letting the jealousy it creates in you to make you feel as is they favor her over you dear.

Instead of fixating on what others think of you and how they view you and see you as a person you need to worry about how you feel about yourself, see yourself and live your life. After all it is your life, not theirs.

If you are happy with you then be happy and don't worry about what others think or what you think they think. If you are not happy with you then YOU are the one to make the changes in your life instead of sulking on what you think others think.

I can't live up to my model sister... parent problems?

I know exactly how you feel. I have an older sister..most of our relatives don't know I exist. If ever we have a bbq or anything, they call me by her name, and I'm like...no actually that's not me, then they're like..oh so how do you know the family..and I'm like..I live here! Just try and be your own person and set your own goals. In a few years, you'll be independent, and none of this will matter.

I can't live up to my model sister... parent problems?

Tell your parents how you feel...if they're favoring her, they're not being good parents.

I can't live up to my model sister... parent problems?

this is like the first child problem but is more serious as u r old enough. so I suggest u make a social group of friends for urself and be good always and people will come back to you.. after all beauty is skin deep and has a certain age.. maybe 3 or so years ? after which they will realise and come back to u with care and love.

I can't live up to my model sister... parent problems?

:/ yeh thats kindda sad when youre hearing all about your older sister and feel that no one wants you around. its such a terrible feeling, but keep your head strong. dont try to impress your parents by being different though, be yourself ^^. also with the boys, of course they are gonna want to know your sister but if any of them do spend time with you take advantage of that. he may just find that he fancies you more than your sister. looks arent just everything, having a great personality is the best thing about the person lol

I can't live up to my model sister... parent problems?

First of all you are your own person and should not compare your self with anyone be your self. So what you are just average some people are so busy looking out the out side they cant see the inside. I am sure that your parents ove you but, they are not paying you much attention let them know how you feel. know matter what you do be the best you can be first you have to please yourself.

Best of luck

I can't live up to my model sister... parent problems?

I thinkk you are letting your jealousy cloud your judgment. She is older than you and has made a life for herself. When you have left home and got a job and found whta you want to do in life you will feel differently. Your parents are proud of your sister and they are proud of you. Andif boys say they fancy you just to get to your sister then they are sad waster and not worth going out with.

I can't live up to my model sister... parent problems?

For those who read Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, could you explain some of the symbols in the s

The following symbols stand for either loneliness and isolation; hopes and dreams; sex appeal; acceptance and approval; hard work; anger; weakness; or power. If you could also include a brief explanation of why it symbolizes this:

-the Western magazines

-Candy's missing hand

-Curley's wife's hairstyle

-the horseshoe matches

-Candy's broom

-Curley's wiry hair

-the color red

-the sunlight

Note: You don't have to answer all of them, but whoever answers the most I'll give 10 points.

For those who read Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, could you explain some of the symbols in the story?

You happened to mention my favorite book of all time!!

You are right that the above mentioned symbols meaning loneliness and isolation.

OK I'll give it a shot in a scholarly way!!!

Candy's hand represents that "he ain't no good no more", which means nobody wants him like Lenny %26amp; George feel. He is as lonley as the other 2 are and wants to be included in thier dream of gettin thier own farm.

Curley's wifes hirstyle represents that she is a young girl and wants to be noticed! she is lonley and thier are no other girls on the farm and the only way she can get anyone to talk to her is to be a little firtatious and coquettish areound the men. She is lonely and just wants a friend!

I think the horseshoe matches just represents a game most farmhands play on a ranch. also it shows them bonding and having fun together!

Candy's broom represents the only job that Candy can perform on the ranch!

Curley's wirery hair means that since he is one of the "bad guys" of the story, it makes him more sinister and less appealing, easpecially to his wife!

The wester mags means what most of the ranch hands envision of what is the perfect ranch!! and dreams!!

I hope I answered these ok for you!!!

For those who read Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, could you explain some of the symbols in the story?

Elizabeth is right, but I think Curley''s Wife was just going with the current hairstyles of the day. I didn't see her as a sex machine! Report It

For those who read Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, could you explain some of the symbols in the story?

Take responisibity for your own education. Read the book carefully and figure out the answers. It won't help you to understand symbolism if someone gives you the answers. That would be cheating.

For those who read Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, could you explain some of the symbols in the story?

I read that book over 5 years ago. I can't remember a d*mn thing from it.

For those who read Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, could you explain some of the symbols in the story?

This is obvious in some ways.

Curley's wife was a huge sex machine so her hairstyle would be sex appeal as probably would be the color red or red could be power or anger. Depends on how it was shown to be red.

Horseshoe matches are acceptance and approval as the men all got along when playing

Candy's broom is hard work becuase he had only one hand but still made himself useful

I dont' know about the others.

For those who read Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, could you explain some of the symbols in the story?

The story of mice and men is the story of a guy who builds a better mousetrap. Candy's missing hand symbolizes not testing your new inventions. Curley's wife's hairstyle represents industry in america. The horseshoe matches are a phallic symbol.

Summer makeup?

whenever i look through magazines or even see women out when im out on a saturday night, their makeup looks fab, it looks really natural and shiny, especially onthe cheeks. what is the best makeup to wear like that? I have olive skin, which is getting tanned as summer goes on, dark hair and eyes. can anyone recommend the bets products, type and colours of makeup to get that look.

oh one more thing, i don't like not wearing eyeliner, but i am also going of the black line look going accross the eye, i have seen some girls wearing eyeliner under ther eyes (a thin line) if you get what i mean, but whenever i try it, it doesn't go on just where my bottom eyelashes are, it still goes quite thick and then smudges with the heat during the day! any help ther as well??? thank you in advance! x x

Summer makeup?

If you use a loose powder with a big fluffy brush and dust your whole face with it including your eyelids that will keep your face from getting oily looking. Choose a color that has a natural look to it, not a heavy makeup look.

Using the powder 1st this will hold your eyeliner on better too.

If you still want to use black eyeliner try "soft black" this is less dramatic, or a dark brown is always good.

Start at the outside of your eye and work your way in with the eyeliner. Don't draw the line on, use tiny little markings until you get it on, this will keep it softer looking. And don't go all the way across, sometimes just a tiny bit in from the outer edge is all you need on the top and bottom, kind of like a V.

Curl eyelashes, and use a black mascara, not to heavy though.

Blush is best light, just highlight the cheekbones so they shimmer when you smile.

Summer lipsticks are great in bronze colors with a liner too.

For dark hair and eyes, bronze and soft golds are beautiful in the summer.

Summer makeup?

Try Clinique...it's the best brand I have used and it's fairly affordable. Everything they have is good.

Summer makeup?

*The Girls of Summer*

Staying cool but looking hot is the name of the game this summer. But, how do you pull this off? Here are some suggestions to at least make you look cool! Lets start with our makeup.

Summer makeup is minimal. You should be able to see your features at their best. We shouldn't see your makeup. Use cosmetics to play up your features.

If you really need to even out your skin tones, apply foundation with a damp sponge. It will go on evenly and no streaks to ruin the effect.

*Tinted moisturizer is another possibility for adding just a little color to that pale complexion.

Now lets move to the cheeks. There are so many colors to choose from, choosing the right one can be incredibly difficult. Here is a little trick that I learned a few years ago...

pull down your bottom lip and look at the color of the skin. That is your natural blush color.

Eye shadow is another one of my loves and the best colors for summer are warm shades. A touch of bronze or coral seems to work well for just a touch of "polish" to the lids.

Mascara is still a must for me but again, use it with care. We sometimes forget that the purpose of this product is to darken/thicken the lashline. Spidery looking lashes are out this summer. One coat should be enough.

Instead of a heavy lipstick, opt for a lip gloss with a smidgen of color. Nude lips look so much more natural. Coloring with a pencil and then applying a layer of lip gloss should do the trick.

Now that all of your makeup is in place, it is time to recheck your blush. Chances are you might need a little more.

So that's it, your summer makeup is perfect. In fact most people won't even realize that you are wearing any at all. They will simply think that you were born that way!

*Don't Overload Makeup in Summer*

One of the biggest mistakes a woman can make is to wear too much makeup. especially in summer when the heat can melt away eyeshadow %26amp; foundation. But too much makeup can actually add 10 years to a person. You know the look: Pancake foundation, clown-ish blush %26amp; tarantula eyelashes, the black eyeliner a half an inch thick. We believe that in summertime the average woman needs only:

1. Sunscreen (our pick: La Roche Posay)

2. A concealer for undereye circles %26amp; blemishes

3. A tinted moisturizer (our favorite: Bobbi Brown)

4. Mascara (Lancome rules)

5. A light colored lipstick or gloss

6. Soft eyeshadow shades for nighttime

7. Self-tanner (we prefer Clarins)

Depending on your skin color, you might not need blush in the summertime. These are just the basics -- add a shimmery bronze for your 'T-spot' %26amp; a spritz of a light fragrance %26amp; you're good to go. What do you think? Let us know in the comment box below.

Summer makeup?

okay a cute summer look i like is to dust a lil gold shimmer on the cheekbone area i think it looks fresh and young. bout the black eye liner here is a good trick for a bold line that stays all day i use mayballie velvet black well sharpen it first then burn it with some matches or a lighter careful not to burn ur self so blow on it to cool it off then apply slowly over ur lower lashline perfect. I cant leave my house without doing this if i do i feel naked. hope it works. peace.

Summer makeup?

Try a shimmery blush or bronzer on your cheeks. I like Clinique Shimmer Sweets in Peach Bronze and NARS blush in Orgasm. Both have natural color, the first is more bronze and the second is more pink, but they have nice shimmer.

I have a great trick for getting a thin, perfect line under your eyes, it's going to sound strange but I promise it works. Before you wash your face in the morning, put eyeliner on under your eyes. A little too thick is just fine. Then wash your face and try to remove it. You'll be left with a thin, perfect line at the base of your lashes. I discovered this by accident one day when I was experimenting with makeup at home and got it on too thick. Also, try a liquid liner (Almay's is good and the brush is easy to control) on your top lid to draw a thin line at the base of your lashes.
